"Well, M.J's mad at me because Smudge has to go away," I admitted. Then I sighed.
"Did you explain the situation?" Chloe asked.
"She wouldn't let me," I said.

"Not ye-" I said, then my computer beeped.

The two female Reindeer flew over.
"I'll be flying again soon, right?" Dasher asked confidently with a confident smile.
My eyes widened with shock when I opened the message. "No. In fact, you've been fired."

Dasher stood there with his jaw on the floor. “What do you mean we’ve been fired?”
“Santa just said not to come this year because new, like, real Reindeer joined his team this year so he doesn’t need all the Webkinz and other plush Reindeer to help,” I said.
“New Reindeer? When did this happen?” he demanded to know.

“Apparently Donner’s wife finally had Rudolph, the rumored 9th Reindeer, in early February,” Arif answered out of nowhere. “And all the other Reindeer, except Vixen, had kids around the same time. So basically, he has a brand new team of Reindeer to help when all the other Reindeer retire. And this year Rudolph is replacing Vixen.”

“How do you know?” Dasher asked Arif in a rude tone.
“The official North Pole blog,” Arif answered. “I’ve been watching it all these years to get more information on what you guys do.”
“And how come me and Kaylynn and Riley were the last to hear about this new generation of Reindeer?” Dasher whined with slight suspicion and a lot of disappointment in his voice.
“I assumed you already knew,” Arif said. “I mean, you are Santa’s star Webkinz employee.”

Dasher looked down and his voice softened. “I just can’t believe he didn’t tell me until now. I can’t believe I didn’t even see this coming and I had a foreshadowing dream!”

“What do you mean you had a ‘dream?” Arif asked.
“I mean last night I had a dream where I went to go to the North Pole to do my job, but there was no snow, it was quiet, and it was empty. No one was home.”
“Well, strange dreams are always significant in television episodes, especially ones that are showcased on-screen,” Arif noted.

“But this isn’t a television show, this is some loser teenager attempting to do something efficient with her time she has free because she has no life,” Chloe reminded them.
