He opened the postcard and started staring at it.

“Hmm,” Dasher sighed. He looked up at Kaylynn. “Can you meet me in Webkinz World?”
“Sure,” Kaylynn said plainly. She wasn’t sure what to expect.

Kaylynn found Dasher in one of the Christmas rooms.
Kaylynn looked around as she walked up to him. “Dasher! There you are! Are you sure it’s a good idea drowning yourself with all this holiday stuff? Won’t it make you feel more heartbroken?”

He looked around. “I really like the fuzzy, warm, festive feeling you get during the holidays. I mostly get it while looking at Christmas scenery but I always relied on pulling Santa’s sleigh for the big boost of holiday happiness.”

“So you’re not really worried about Santa, or other people, or having a purpose in life, or any of that mumbo jumbo. Are you?” Kaylynn said when she moved next to him. “You’re just worried you won’t ever experience the true holiday festivities feeling again, aren’t you?”

Dasher nodded. He started walking, but walked slow enough so Kaylynn could follow easily behind. His eyes were still wandering around the scenery. “I’m a Christmas seasonal, so experiencing Christmas to the fullest makes me feel grounded. I love helping Santa deliver presents and smiles, but it’s because I love the holiday happiness feeling.”

He stopped his wandering in front of a toy store window. He sighed, thinking how it could have been him delivering those toys, and how much holiday cheer and Christmas spirit it would spread.

“I have an idea, but I have to go. I’ll talk to you later.”
