“That’s actually a good idea!” Kaylynn said to Dasher. “Maybe reading could be your new hobby!”

“Hey, Debbie!” Kaylynn greeted. “Whatcha reading?”
“The next book of The Clique series,” Debbie said as her eyes remained glued to the book.
“Ooh! That sounds like a fun series, Dasher!” Kaylynn said.
“The first book is on the bookshelf if you want to check that out,” Debbie said.
“Thanks!” Kaylynn said to her.

They walked over to the bookshelf.

He sat down and started reading the book. He stared at it for a little while then his mind started wandering.

“I’m sorry, but I’m more of a do-it-yourself person,” Dasher apologized as he closed the book. “I can’t really stay focused on books. The only books I can stay focused on is holiday-related picture books like Rudolph.”

“Why don’t you try scrapbooking?” Debbie suggested casually. She was on the bookshelf putting away a book and grabbing another one.

“That sounds fun!” Kaylynn said. “I know Kat loves scrapbooking and it could keep her busy for hours.”
