Mandy watched the machine with sparkling eyes. She couldn’t wait to see the results!
Then, the machine malfunctioned and started blowing smoke.
“What? No!” Mandy exclaimed in horror.

“That’s too bad,” Lil said, disappointed.

“Oh I wish I wish it could work! I swear, if magic was real, I would so make this machine work right now,” Mandy said.

“Oh, but magic is real, you stupid bumblehead,” a mysterious and mischievous voice said.

“Huh? Who’s there?” Mandy said as she snapped around, but the voice could not be located.
“You want to go to the alternate universe? Then your wish is my command,” the voice said.

Then the group felt the world shift.

“I don’t feel right,” Phil said uneasy.

“What just happened?” the skeptical Chloe asked.

Mandy looked around with fascination. “I think we made it to the alternate universe.”

“I know a surefire way,” Chloe said as she got up and walked away.

“That’s a very good question,” the voice said. “Well good news, you’re stuck here forever!”
