Hopeless and shaken…
In defense of our dreams.

**This part is told from my (Kat's) perspective.**

I approached the Zums.
"You guys, I need your help," I inquired.
"What could we do for you?" Zami responded.
"Some of the people in the household are having difficulties adjusting to the fact that I'm going to be living somewhere else soon, so I need you guys to use your magic to try and find ways to help ease the transition."

"Like, how could we do that?" Zami asked.
"Answers about the future, new ways to keep contact, anything."
"Of course!" Zami accepted.

"It would be no problem at all!" Zeb added.

"Um, excuse you guys," a very sassy Sabrina interrupted. "But why would you guys want to use basic Zum magic, when you can use the beautiful complexity of the magic that comes from my magical charm and knowledge of witchcraft?"

"Because it's not natural to use your magic and would probably ruin everything!" Zami snapped through his teeth.
There was a roar of hysterical laughter…

Mandy poked her head into this bickering. "I think you guys should be a little more realistic and look to science!"

"Then it's settled," Zami said. Then he started instructing.

"Zalo and Zool, go with Giraffe and brainstorm ideas on how everyone can keep in touch."
"Sounds fun!" Giraffe exclaimed.
"Sabrina and Zuzu, go and find out a way to get a glimpse into our futures."
"I could do that! I have a magic orb somewhere!" Sabrina accepted.
"Zeb and Mandy, come with me and help me construct someplace everyone ever can basically meet up," Zami finished.
"Sounds challenging but rewarding!" Mandy commented.

It was the end of the night, and I was getting ready for bed.
Chloe and Rex woke from their slumber that transported them to Webkinz World; they had just finished their dinner at Franny's Restaurant.
