Giraffe's overly-content smile returned as he said, "Swell. I don't like being alone."
Mandy stifled a laugh. "Of course you don't."
Giraffe nodded.
"You also seem to like to sleep inside of a crammed spaceship," Mandy teased.
"It's always great to try new experiences."

"How could that be?" Mandy questioned. "This is me and Giraffe's first time on this planet. Are you sure it's not George over here you're smelling?"
"No...definitely you two."
"Wait a minute..." Mandy remembered. "I sent someone else from our home on Earth here a few years back."
"Maybe that's it!" the creature replied in an excited tone. "I mean, I have met a lot of universe foreigners in my day, and I definitely remember meeting Earthlings a few years back. A specific Earthling, actually."
"Yeah I can sense you're remembering someone from the household we originated from," George pointed out.
"Yeah...I remember helping Nick get here," Mandy added. "Do you remember a purple dragon?"
"A what?" the creature questioned, confused.
"A creature that somewhat looks like you but is the color of the universe but brighter. You do remember him. I know you do," George explained.
"Nick," Mandy said again. "He was a curious and chirpy little guy. He was looking for his friend."
"Yeah...I remember him," the creature slowly said. "Nick. We met...we travelled together briefly. I helped him make his way around."
"He got in trouble," George randomly said. "I remember witnessing parts of it."
"Yeah...he flew."
"What's wrong with flying here?" Mandy questioned.
"No creature on Xenas has the ability to fly," George explained. "If an outsider comes to our planet and flies, the government gets really angry."
"Yeah," the creature confirmed. "We got arrested together because Nick flew after I tried to give him a tour of the area."
"And I broke you out," George bragged pridefully.
The creature nodded. "Nick and I were buddies."
"But then he left as soon as he was able to talk to Barbie, and I left to travel around to other planets in the galaxy. And now I’m back here after I had the sudden feeling that I should return...not sure why though because I’m not fond of this planet."
"Yeah."
"I don't mean to interrupt, but it's really going to bother me if I don't find out your name," Mandy inquired.
"Ah, yes," the creature replied. "Yeah, my name is Kwop."
"Hello, Kwop," Mandy greeted. "Yeah, Nick is a part of our large family back home. In fact, we're looking for his twin sister's nephew right now."
"Really?"
"Yeah. He disappeared from Earth shortly ago and George here said that he's on this planet looking for his biological mother."
"Well that's something."
"Yeah. And his adoptive parents are worried sick so we're trying to find him and bring him home."
"The one we're looking for is an Assessor that was gifted by Captain Zeebo to his adoptive parents, Shona and Icestorm, a few years back to thank the household for helping them sort out some stuff," George explained.
"Ah," Kwop said. "Well if you need any help finding him, I'll gladly join in on your mission."
"Thank would be great," Mandy accepted. "We need all the help we can get. Thank you."

He overlooked his finished project. He liked it. He was satisfied with himself. He felt proud.
The end result of his story was going to be good. He could feel it.

His hopeful, positive attitude was starting to decline. What if he got the wrong vibe? What if his mom wasn't here?
He let his head drop in disappointment...

He looked up sheepishly, wondering what this strange creature was, what it could do to him, and what it would do to him.

Blaze braced himself for the worst, and the creature sniffed him then sat down, then looked down at him warmly.
He looked up at the creature, which was bowing down its inviting head.
Blaze suddenly had...a feeling...and a vision.

He was suddenly feeling...warmth and love.

He suddenly saw an image of...family.

He understood now. He was with his mother now. He was home.

Blaze succumbed to the warm, welcoming feeling and placed his head against his mother’s bowing head.

His mother pulled him in for an embrace, and Blaze slowly felt himself slipping away mentally...like he was losing consciousness.

Then he heard his mother softly say “silly creature...silly, silly, silly.”

“Blaze!” Mandy gasped. “What’s happening?”
“I think I’ve heard of these thing before!” Kwop exclaimed. “It a creature that drinks out energy from others for its own benefit, right?”
“Right! It’s trying to take away Blaze’s powers to become more powerful!” George explained desperately and loudly. “We have to stop it before it drains Blaze of everything he has! Kwop, do you have the ability to mentally keep a creature still?”
“Yeah!” Kwop replied.
“Excellent! I have a plan! Giraffe and Mandy! Distract the creature!” George said urgently.

The creature looked back at Giraffe like a prized fish. It turned its attention away from Blaze and walked away to approach Giraffe.

“NOW, KWOP!” George yelled.

George and Kwop managed to freeze the creature’s motion using all of their might in their mental force.

“Mandy!” George yelled in a strained voice, trying to give instructions and keep the creature controlled at the same time. “Grab Blaze and PROTECT HIM!”

She held him in her arms maternally as she scurried to a discreet corner to protect the youngling.

“G-giraffe!” George struggled to call out. “Go run out...and find...Captain Zeebo! He’s the ruler of the planet! Only one able to stop this thing!” He breathed heavily as he continued to struggle with his mentally willing. “Use your magic to locate him! GO!”
