She hops down a little bit and looks up at me. “Well come on! We're over down there having a little storytime session! I told the kids and some others the story behind our friendship, and after Chris gets back with more snacks Shona is going to tell us a story!”

"Hello, everyone!" Shona greets. "I'm Shona and this is Chloe."
"Hello," Chloe greets unenthusiastically.
"Today we kick off a brand new segment, Commercial Breaks! It's where we post all the requestables and give shout-outs and apologies to all of those who never got their requestables-"
"Because Kat's a failure," Chloe adds.

"Can we not make fun of Kat?" Shona suggests. "It's not nice."
"I can't," Chloe replies. "It's in my character description."
"Eurgh...well um, let's just get this thing started."

"Okay!" Shona continues. "This will be a lot of requestables Kat had to get done, but we will often have other silly between-show segments or silly product commercials in general!"

"Jeez Kat," Chloe says as she climbs onto my bottom. "Are you the one that's supposed to be tucking me in and not the other way around?"
"Chloe, it's time you give back for once," I say as I drift off into a deep sleep.

"Um, why do you always have to randomly appear and poke fun at Kat?" the timid Airdale asked her.
"Because it would be out of character if I didn't," Chloe responded plainly.

Shona scurried up and exclaimed, "mermaid! Did I hear someone say 'mermaid'?"

"Yes, I did," Chloe replied to her. "I was talking about Kat's obsession with mermaids."
"You know, I am kinda a mermaid myself," Shona bragged.
"So I hear."
"I'm a mer-beagle! Would you like to see my tail?"
"Not-"

Before Chloe could finish her sentence with a 'really,' Shona exclaimed, "okay! I'll go get it!" and scurried away.
Chloe sighed.

Shona pulled herself back up and squirmed around.
"See?" she said with a warm laugh. "Mer-beagle!"
"Yes, I see," Chloe replied in a sarcastic-interested tone of voice.

Shona started rolling around in her mermaid tail and giggling.

Chloe turned to me. "You really don't have any better ideas than 'Shona reminds everyone about the existence of her sock-tail'?"

Chloe slid to her belly, buried her head in her paws, and groaned loudly in annoyance.

Shona was still rolling and giggling, so it was just the two of them on the ground and nothing else.

Airdale was just sitting there awkwardly.

Then Airdale got on the ground with them and started squirming around awkwardly, not knowing what else to do.

"Well, Carrie, we wish you a wonderful birthday! And I see that your birthday is rather close to Halloween! How should we celebrate a Halloween birthday?"

Sabrina turns toward the camera. "Alright Carrie. We are going to send you the pumpkin cake and inflatable pumpkin the way we always send things out to fellow picture threaders-throw it at the camera so that it enters through cyberspace and goes to you via coming through your computer screen. SO BE READY TO CATCH!"

"Yep. It's like, frozen yogurt, ginger ale, strawberry syrup, gell-o mix, sherbet, and then there's gummy bears on top of the whip cream. It's pretty insane," I explained.
