"Daaaaaddy," Amelia whined. "I want candy! NOW!"

Amelia was traumatized. Her father had never yelled at her like this before! Tears started to well up in her eyes. "Daddy-?"

"Enough, Amelia!" he said in a cruel voice. "It's time you learned that things are not always you're way! You have to grow up someday and when you're a grown up, things are never your way!"

Tears started spilling down from Amelia's face. "I'm-I'm sorry," she sobbed.

Shuffle had realized what he'd just done and how harsh he just was to his own child. He watched her waddle away in horror. How could he hurt his own daughter?
Shuffle looked down. "I'm a horrible father."
Lily walked up to him slowly from behind. "No you're not."

Shuffle jumped a little bit because he didn't expect to hear Lily's voice; he didn't hear her approach him.
"She's...she's crying," Shuffle stuttered.

“I’m barely a parent?” Lily fired at him. Shuffle’s complaining about her really struck a nerve and hurt her. “Like you’re any better! May I remind you about your recent parenting skills prior to your lecture from Shona? I may be new to parenting, but you’re just as clueless as I am...and we agreed on that!”
