George swallowed the note and thought as he let it slip down into his stomach. “It’s...it’s from your mother, Blaze. Your biological mother wants to see you. She would like to meet you. She wants you to follow her scent to Xenas and find her.”

Blaze’s eyes started twinkling with wonder. His mother. His mother. He had an actual, biological mother? She wanted to meet him? Blaze could get answers about his origin?

George watched Blaze’s reaction for a moment in silence.

Then he finally said, “Would you like to meet her? Would you like me to arrange you a ride to Xenas so you can find your mother?”

George chucked in response. “Alright. I’ll be sure to arrange you a ride. Just give me some time to get a spaceship together so you can travel to find out where you came from and such.”

Blaze was going to meet his mother. He was going to get the answers he always wanted. Things could finally make some sense for him! His life finally had some purpose. He had something to look for.

Who wants to go to a tropical island for the holidays? It’s all about snowy fun fun fun! And if she gets used to that hot weather, she may not be able to adjust back when it’s time to fly through the snow to deliver presents! She could freeze to death!

Agh! I can’t let my poor darling suffer. I have to make sure she’s as comfortable as possible before her trip, and I can’t do that if she’s on some faraway tropical island!
