Part 2
I let Chloe and Burbank sit on my lap as I scrolled through holiday photography on my laptop as we sat on my bed. Chloe still refused to lose her pout but I knew she was enjoying herself.
“And to think, only seventeen days until the magical day,” Burbank fantasized.
“Well, not really,” I said. “I don’t think of it as a countdown, I think of it as ‘days left.’ When you think about it, all of the magical holiday joyful goodness ends right on Christmas Day. Everything stops. Stores purge of Christmas stuff as soon as they open up again, the radio stops playing Christmas songs as soon as the clock ticks midnight, and presents are opened by noon. Have you ever gotten to Christmas day and then just thought, ‘now what?’”

“Wow, someone got deep,” Chloe sassed.

“But this is my fourth Christmas,” Burbank pointed out.
“Just think about it,” I said.

“I never think about anything you say,” Chloe said.
“Oh really?”
“Yep because you speak the nonsense.”
“That really didn’t make any sense whatsoever.”
“Do I look like I care?”
“You do, actually.”
“Well I don’t!”
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas110.jpg
“Guys!” Riley interrupted.
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas111.jpg
“Kaylynn just booked us a vacation!”
“A vacation?” I echoed in a questioning voice.
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas112.jpg
“For the Reindeer,” Kaylynn explained. “Me, Riley, and Dasher are gonna leave a little earlier this year so we can spend a few days on a tropical island before we head up to the North Pole for our yearly job on Christmas Eve Eve.”
“That’s fine,” I responded in allowance. “Just don’t get lost like you flipping Webkinz usually do every year, okay?”
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas113.jpg
“Oh please,” Dasher scoffed as he landed in front of us.
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas114.jpg
“Us, get lost? You do know how many times we’ve circled the world right?”
“I know, I know,” I brushed off. “I trust you guys.”
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas115.jpg
“Oh goodness, please don’t tell me that you’re foreshadowing yes another Accidental Webkinz Exchange,” Chloe begged in annoyance.
I laughed. “Don’t worry, we’re not doing that anymore. We’re flying solo this year.”
“Please never say flying solo again. We all know you’re a big loner.”
“Yep. What else is new?”

Little did anyone know, Magnus was listening in on our conversation from my school bag.
“Riley is leaving early this year?” he whispered to himself in a distraught tone. “How can this be? She’s supposed to spend the rest of her holiday before her job here with me, just like I imagined. There’s no way she can go on this trip. No way!”

Blaze spent his afternoon wandering around the house, alien-purring and eating random objects. The holidays didn’t mean anything to him because they never really had anything like it back on Xenas...at least from what he remembered.

Although he wasn’t concerned about how foreign he felt on this planet which felt alien to him. He just focused on tasting every aspect on Earth—not everyone else gets this kind of opporotunity like he does.

Then he came across a folding piece of paper that may or may not have just randomly appeared. Or maybe he just missed it the last time he looked...
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas026.jpg
Anyway, he walked up to the piece of paper to have a taste. Papers have all kinds of unique tastes—every brand, type, and scribe of any piece affects how a certain piece of paper could taste.
He opened his mouth to chew it up and then stopped—it smelled familiar!
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas027.jpg
He sniffed the paper some more.
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas028.jpg
Then he swallowed it...
http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...bananas029.jpg
...and coughed it back up. The piece of paper was open when he coughed it back up.
He examined it. It contained...pictures...

There was a picture of a bigger alien dog affectionately hugging a smaller dog that looked a lot like Blaze.
Who was this?
