When George was far enough away, Tammy and Phil's stifled laughter turned into muffled cackling.

I smiled to myself. Wow, even Tammy kinda knows who she is, and she has multiple identities. She knows what she likes, she knows who she wants to be, she knows what's in her future.

I started stepping away, on towards someplace else.

I stood there.
I'm definitely not the one going with Kat.
I heard zippers zipping.

"Okay! My backpacks all packed!" I heard a whale-ish voice announce.
"Oh boy!" I heard a certain Webkinz Beagle exclaimed.
I looked over and saw Kat and Shona packing Kat's new backpack.
I looked at Shona, then looked down.

Again, why not me?
Maybe it's because I'm the only one not able to move on. Maybe that's why I'm stuck at the house.
I closed my eyes, feeling my heart break.
But I don't want to move on!
I opened my eyes and frowned.
Maybe that's why I'm going nowhere; because I won't let myself.

"Oh, Kat! I can't wait to have adventures with you!" Shona expressed. "You're so much fun to have adventures with! I've always loved whatever you had in store with us!"

Or maybe because I'm so mean to her. She knows it's all just an act right? To make myself look cool? Then again, I haven't really expressed how much I appreciate her in the longest time. Maybe she thinks my secret kindness is damage-control.
