Chris paused. Then said, "Me too, Abby. Me too."

Then he climbed out his window for the very last time.
They say that there's a chance that someone will come back for you if they look back at you before they leave. He didn't look back...

Then he stopped in front of Shuffle.
"Ready to go back inside?" Shuffle asked.

Chris then hugged Shuffle and cried. Every little emotion he held in over the past few years exploded out of him.
Shuffle placed his feather on Chris' paw. "It's okay. It's okay. You're home now."

Sparky climbed onto the bed. Chris started to get nervous.
"Hello," Sparky said. "Don't be scared. I'm sorry I thought you were a squirrel last week. Squirrels like to dance across the front lawn and in the trees to mess with me so that's why I don't like them."
"Oh, okay," Chris said.

Sparky sat down next to him.
"So how are you?" Sparky asked.
"Relieved," Chris said. "Shuffle said he's going to adopt me as his son so I'll be Amelia's brother."
"That's awesome," Sparky replied. "I went through a very similar situation that you went through almost seven years ago. Things will get better."
"Yeah," Chris said. "I know they will."
