"Yep, and I'm done!" Tamaki exclaimed.

Hikaru was right. He finished a long, heartfelt valentine request that quickly.

Tamaki, watched by Lacey, scrambled onto the computer to see if Haruhi did reply.
"She replied!" Tamaki exclaimed.
"Open it! Open it!" Lacey said anxiously.
"What do you think I'm doing?" Tamaki said as he opened the message.
Then Tamaki froze.
"What did she say?" Lacey asked. She could tell something was wrong.
"She said no," Tamaki said, shocked. "All she said was 'Dear Tamaki-senpai, no.'"

Hikaru couldn't hold his laughter any longer. He started rolling around laughing hysterically.

"What is it?" Zami asked as the Zums formed a circle.
"It's a decent idea, but we're gonna need some help from other Zumbuddies," Zuzu began to say.

"Um, hi, Tamaki," Zami said awkwardly. "We're really sorry about your not-so-good V-Day."

Zami started talking in a normal voice. "I think Haruhi has something she wants to tell you!"

"...so I was hoping you could at least give Tamaki a chance," Hikaru finished saying. He was talking to Haruhi via webcam. "If you just accept him as a friend, maybe he'll be less creepy and be less annoying to me."
"That won't be possible," Haruhi said from the screen.
"Why?" Hikaru asked, puzzled.
"Because I love YOU!" Haruhi announced.

Tamaki had made it just in time to hear what Haruhi said, but not what Hikaru said.
His jaw dropped.
"You traitor," he softly said.

Everyone else had just caught up behind.
"But," Tamaki said, "this is all part of my strategy. While you've wasted time blinded by your jealousy I've foreseen the outcome of this charade. Ahh, this anime is obviously a romantic school comedy. Haruhi and I are the main characters, so that means we are love interests!"

The irritated Hikaru, still facing the computer, just squeezed his eyes shut. "Okay, first of all, Tamaki, this is not an anime. This is a darn picture thread. And second of all, I just came here to ask her to give you a chance. Not fall in love with me!"
"Hikaruuuuu," Haruhi called from the screen.
"Don't worry! I'll fix this!" Zalo announced.
