Shona and Magnus backed away from the Zums. The Zums had stood in a good spot where the sun shone down on them.

The Zumbuddies let the energy and power float into their plush bodies.

Sparky started circling around them.
"What?" he shrieked. "Who let you guys out here? What are you doing out here? I thought Madison was guarding the door!"
"Hershica distracted Madison so we managed to get out," Zami explained. "We had to get outside because the solstice is the only day we can recharge our Zumbuddy Magic Power Supply."

Sparky started pacing and sniffing the ground.
"There are some things you guys can't know," Sparky simply said.

"What?" Zami asked really suspiciously and anxiously. "What are you hiding? What is there to hide?"

Sparky looked at them and sighed. "Secretly, I'm Justin Bieber in disguise. I normally have to sneak out unseen so I can go do concerts and such. That's why I've been so strange."

"Take a train to Massachusetts and meet Blitzen up there," Dasher answered. He moved his head around as he thought and explained. "Then we all fly up to the North Pole together; just like last year! We leave the North Pole at 3 AM KinzTime on the Eve and we're finish at 6 AM KinzTime the day."
"Um, no," I denied. "Remember what happened last year?"

Dasher placed his hoof on Kaylynn who had her arms wrapped around Riley.
"Kat, we're professional Reindeer," Dasher reminded me. "And only Shuffle and Moomoo got lost last year!"
"But you know how paranoid I get," I reminded him. "Can't Santa just pick you guys up or something?"

Dasher finally gave up. "Alright. I'll go e-mail Santa and tell us to pick him up from here tomorrow sometime after 6."
"Thank you!" I puffed.
"Oh and by the way, where's that light-up keychain you gave me last year that I used during the trip?" Dasher asked.

I held up a bracelet with a big plastic thing hanging off it.
"I couldn't find it, but I got you something better!" I answered. "It's a light-up COLLAR!"

Paley looked away as she said, "Blah blah blah. You and your coincidental thoughts! What is it this time?"

"Someone's gonna go missing," I said. "And this time they won't end up safely at our house or Sarah's house."

"THERE," I grunted as her bio popped up.

"Yes!" Paley exclaimed cheerfully.

I patted her head and said, "You can read your bio. I'm gonna go upstairs and do some stuff."

Paley grinned and turned around to read her bio as I left. Suddenly, her grin dropped to a wide-open frown.
"No," she whispered. "No! No! No no no no no!"
Something was not right. Something was horribly wrong.

Later on my mom made us hot chocolate!
I also noticed that Paley seemed to be happier. Maybe it was just Christmas spirit?

Dasher, who had Riley on his back, came up to me with Kaylynn by his side.
"Hey, Kat," Dasher began, "Santa just got back to me. He said that he made it through the fog and that he'll be here in about twenty minutes to pick me up."
"Okay," I said. "We better get you guys ready!"

"See Kat?" Paley said in a rubbing-in-face tone of voice. "Your Christmas presents are done, Dasher and the Reindeer are pretty much fine to go for the trip, and nothing really bad has happened so far! Everything is just fine! What could possibly go wrong?"
