“Like, what if we got a separation?” Shuffle suggested, looking down at his feet. “If we ended the union, we could focus on ourselves as parents, and we could be better parents to Amelia and Chris on our own. And I don’t think we’re good together as parents anymore.”

Lily could feel she was on the verge of a breakdown. “No, Shuffle! No! You’re not thinking clearly! We can’t just separate like that! It would break our poor darlings for sure!”
