“Yeah,” Chris added slowly, thinking about what was just said. “If Amelia never existed, Mom and Dad would still not be on speaking terms and I would still be with Abby. We would have never become a family.”

Lily walked over to her kids...

...and snuggled in with them. “Yeah. We became a family, and as long as Amelia is around we can’t be separated. Anyone can see what we have; especially Daddy. I promise you guys, as soon as he comes home, we’ll go back to being one big happy family. We’ll stick together no matter what life throws at us.”
