I snap out of my train of thoughts when I notice I’m blushing. I realize, I care about her so much. She’s fun, caring, and extremely selfless. I love every bit of her. I love our conversations about trivial things like favorite tv shows or what the best snacks are. I love the way she makes me feel complete; she’s like the missing piece to my insane puzzle.
We’ve been through so much together. All those little misadventures when we were teenagers and then our respectable adult adventures...

Lily stepped up and put on her firm voice. "Look, this isn't about me. This isn't about Lacey. This isn't even about Amelia. It's about Chris and how happy he'd be if he didn't have to leave Amelia behind. And we never ever ignore a Webkinz that is in need and you know that. And even you know what he needs."

"Come on, Mommy!" Amelia added.

"Well we're all so glad you're back," Shuffle said contently.
Shuffle wrapped around his wing around Lily and said, "to add to you coming back, Lily and I are having a parental ceremony."
"Yay!" Chris exclaimed as he hugged his soon-to-be mother. Lily blushed.
"Now we're one big happy family," Shuffle said.

"We are gathered here today for the parental ceremony of Shuffle Birde and Lily Medieval," Chloe announced uninterested. She was performing the parental ceremony. The newest Webkinz and pillow pet were attending also.
"At the end of this ceremony, this dragon and this family will leave as one family," Chloe continued to say. She didn't want to do this ceremony (she had better things to do), but she did it anyway.
Chloe turned to Lily. "Lily, do you promise to take perfect care of your new family and be an ideal mother?"
"Yes," Lily responded contently.
Chloe puffed out an annoyed sigh and looked at Shuffle. "Shuffle, do you promise to work with Lily to give your kids the best lives possible?"
"Of course!" Shuffle exclaimed.
Chloe turned towards Chris and Amelia.
"Lastly, do you guys honestly believe that these Webkinz will be decent parents together?" Chloe asked.
Chris and Amelia cheered.
Chloe sighed out an annoyed sigh and said, "Alright, I pronounce you guys a happy little family."

She began to walk away, still annoyed. "Blah blah blah. You may now not kiss the bride because that is flippin' disgusting and I'm gonna go eat some citrus fruit now."

When I think about it, Lily and I’s personalities blend quite well. Her always being neutral is actually quite a good thing. She’s fantastic with family compromises. When Amelia and Chris fight, she was always good at seeing both sides of the arguments so finding a solution is faster. I am not able to compromise as well as she can.
You know what, let’s just forget all the arguments. Let’s forget all the rough patches. All families have them, don’t they? Parenting would be difficult without Lily’s compassion and neutrality by my side. We go together; we belong together. We’re perfect friends and parenting partners. We fit together like peanut butter and jelly, chocolate and vanilla, SpongeBob and Patrick, etc.
Alright, now this whole self-thinking thing is getting kinda silly. I just need to get inside quickly and see my family.

I look up and see Lily looking down on me through the bedroom window. There’s a mixture of excitement and concern in her eyes.

“It’s okay,” I whisper, “everything will be okay.”

“Does this mean you’re staying?” she asks, her voice muffled because she’s burying her head into my shoulder.
