Sophie ignored him and went on. “And then I want a treehouse in the backyard. And I want a trampoline too. And tons of chefs and butlers and maids so we don’t have to do any work! Well, of course we’re going to have to work at like, jobs and stuff. I mean we don’t have to do house chores so we can do other special activities!”

“So how about you? What do you want in your future?” an intrigued Sophie asked.
“Umm, I’m I don’t know. Whatever’s happy for me. I’m keeping an open mind,” an uncomfortable Teddy.

“Why can’t you just talk to her?”
Taang was trying to convince Teddy to tell Sophie that he will never want to be her animal mate and there’s no use trying to get him to even consider it. Taang was trying to convince Teddy to tell Sophie to stop following him around before it crossed the line into stalking.

“Because she won’t listen to me!” Taang exclaimed with frustration. “She doesn’t believe me, mostly because she thinks I’m doing it because you’re my brother!”

“Yes! But only half of it!” Taang was starting to get upset with Teddy. Why would he understand that this situation needed to be handled? “Sophie will spiral out of control if you’re not careful! She could get the wrong idea!”
