“I’m sorry about that, Amelia-darling,” Shuffle apologize. “Auntie Shona has been trying to teach Blaze not to eat everything but the poor little guy just can’t help it! He’s not from our planet so he doesn’t understand that you just can’t eat everything you see. How about we get you another-”

“AAAAAGH!” Amelia screamed in her dad’s face to cut him off. “You always tell me that!” Then she started mockingly mimicking what the adult-Kinz were always telling her. “‘He doesn’t understand! He can’t help it!’”

“NO! It’s time you took my side for once!” Amelia stomped her foot.
Shuffle sighed. “Amelia, we just can’t do that.”
Amelia screamed in his face one more time...

She pressed her forehead against the side of Shuffle’s head.
“I just don’t know what to do about her, Lily,” Shuffle said.
“Don’t worry, we’ll figure this out together. We’re both her parents, after all.” She smiled at him a little bit.
