"I have a sleepover tonight," she told me. "I'm sorry!"
"You mean you're just gonna bail on us?" I complained. "You're always here for ladies' night! You usually have the sleepovers on Saturdays!"
"I'm sorry!" she apologized.
"Can you at least take Laraine too?" I asked.
"I don't want her first Friday night to be spent in a bag," she explained. "She'll have much more fun here."

"That's fine, Kat!" Burbank exclaimed happily. "What ever makes you happy!"

Kat petted Burbank. Then she said, "You guys should be more positive like Burbank!"

Then Kat left.

Then we all sat in a circle.
"This isn't just gonna be a ladies' night," I said. "This is gonna be the most epic ladies' night there ever was, because there's no Kat to tell us no."
"And that's why you're my sister," Maddy said.

"Oh yes it's ladies' night," I sang. "And the feeling's right. Oh yes it's ladies' night...oh what a night."

"She really loves Kat's iPod, doesn't she?" Laraine said to Lacey.
"Yep," Lacey replied. "But sometimes her random singing can help you realize a lot."
