Developing the "Shuffle Pregnancy" Series

Inspired By: The guy that created iCarly (and also I came up with the idea after I dug up some old stuff in my private blog made for the thread)

Okay, I must apologize. I wanted to get out of the house so I decided to follow my mom around for the day. Next thing you knew, it was night time, and I need to make the Sophie update during the day. So the Sophie update will be delayed another day...

Remember when I used to post like, 5 updates every 2 days? I kinda miss that. It was fun, and I can barely remember half the updates I made. :P I go back to link, and I'm like "Woah, I forgot all about that one!"

Unfortunately, time is not on my side this year. It stood still last year which gave me a chunk of time to post updates (although that meant pushing homework to late at night, but that was fine with me).

So, I'm going to attempt to post a new blog entry daily. I'm not going to, but I will attempt. Just for fun. I just wrote down a bunch of short daily blog entry ideas. Please do not get mad at me if I do not post a blog for one day. And keep in mind that most will be pictureless. Okay?

So to make up for the Sophie update delay, I figured I'd post a blog entry about the "Shuffle Pregnancy" series because it was quite a bit different back than I originally planned. (Gawsh, I feel like the iCarly creator typing this.)

Okay, if you are not a fan of behind-the-scenes stuff, feel free to click off of this now or forever hold your peace. If you are a fan for this kind of stuff like me or are just curious of how I came up with the update ideas, keep reading. You may now hug the bride. :)

Okay, so let's start with how I came up with the idea in the first place.

So I was sitting in the brown recliner in the living room (you can see it in one of the first updates I ever posted). I was watching re-runs on Nickelodeon and went on WI at the same time on my iPod like I usually do.

A re-run for the Fairly OddParents special "Fairly Odd Baby" came on, and I was like "Maybe I should do a pregnancy for the thread." So I though, "Why not Shuffle?" and "What about tie in a conflict where his and Lacey's friendship is threatened because of the mood swings?". And then I thought "HOT N COLD!"

So I wrote all that stuff down on my iPod.

And here's the original summary information for the "Shuffle Pregnancy" series updates.

"Shuffle's Being a Little...Hot N Cold"
Shuffle has a bunch of mood swings that start to threaten him and Lacey's friendship, and Lacey points out that their relationship is like the song "Hot N Cold" by Katy Perry.

"Shuffle's Pregnant?!"
After Shuffle starts to have more symptoms like cravings and feeling a bit sick and over-emotional, Barbie suggests he sees Dr. Quack. Dr. Quack doesn't know how it's even possible, but Shuffle is somehow...pregnant...

"The Stork"
Some Webkinz start talking about Shuffle's pregnancy, and one asks where babies come from. So, I give the famous little-Webkinz talk, about, the stork.

"There's a New Family Member on the Way!"
Shuffle's baby finally arrives. It is somehow...a penguin, and it is still a mystery of how Shuffle became pregnant in the first place. Lacey and Shuffle become friends again, and Lacey and the other Labs help take care of Shuffle's little penguin.

Wow...things changed since the original ideas...

Let's start with the first one.
The storyline pretty much was the same, but Lacey didn't exactly point out to Shuffle that their friendship was all Hot N Cold. Lacey listened to some music with Madeline and she kinda realized that their friendship was all Hot N Cold. Oh, and if you go back and reread the update, you'll notice that I tried to make Shuffle's mood swings in order of the "Hot N Cold" chorus.
Cause you're hot then you're cold.
You're yes then you're no.
You're in then you're out.
You're up then you're down.
You're wrong when it's right.
It's black and it's white.
We fight we break up.
We...make up.
Like when Shuffle wanted to play with Lacey, then he didn't. And for it's black and it's white I introduced Tropical Banana's superpower. :P

Next one...
Okay. I made a few changes with this one. As you can tell, the name was changed. If I kept the title "Shuffle's Pregnant?!" that would have given it away before you read the update, and a bunch of people probably wouldn't have felt the need to read it....and I want you guys to have read it. XD So, the title was changed to "Shuffle Shocked" (which was better, am I right?) and a lot of people read it...and were shocked. :) Oh and instead of Barbie suggesting he sees Dr. Quack, Lacey and Tropical Banana talked to me and I forced Shuffle to go to Dr. Quack.

Alright...third update...
This update was just supposed to be just a talk about where babies come from, but instead it was just an update about what it's like with a pregnant Webkinz in the house (since Shuffle is pretty much the first Webbie in the MMWF area that got pregnant) and Chloe tells some curious Webkinz about the Stork (although miss know-it-all Mandy disagrees ::)). I also changed the name to "It' Saturday, and There's a New Family Member on the Way!"

Final update!
This was changed quite a bit. I was originally going to have it where I made the update while Shuffle was having the baby like they do in movies, only have a Webkinz hold up a sign saying "There's a new family member on the way!" (because in The Sims 2 while your Sim is having a baby there's a message saying "There's a new family member on the way!" and something about the Stork (which was the inspiration for the third update)). But instead I had Shuffle have the baby while I was sleeping, and instead of the Labs helping (although they do babysit now), Lily and Barbie help and Holly Burbank wakes me (and Lacey comes in later). And Lacey and Shuffle already made up in the second update, and since with the other update title changes, I just changed the title of this one to "Miracle on Friday Morning" instead of something else less creative. :)
