Part 5
Bruce stomped onto the scene.
"How dare you," his booming voice scolded. "How dare you cause this poor pup so much trouble and pain just because our ridiculous owner made a stupid adoption mistake. You guys know that Paley's a girl, so stop saying otherwise. She doesn't have to change who she is. You guys do. You guys need to accept that she is not a boy."

"But-" Laraine tried to say.
"Gimme that bracelet, now," Bruce growled.

Bruce glared at her as Laraine handed over the bracelet.

"Leave," Bruce said. "Now."
"Geez, fine," Laraine said.

Paley, not saying or doing anything, watched as Kaylynn and Laraine left. Then she noticed Frosty Bumble was still there.

Frosty Bumble sighed and shook his head.

Then he walked off with Kaylynn and Laraine.

The frozen Paley and now calm Bruce looked at each other.

"I think this is yours," Bruce calmly said as he held up the bracelet.

"I just want you to know, you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen in my entire life," Bruce said as he placed the bracelet around her neck.

Paley buried her head in Bruce and began to sob.
"I am not a boy..." she mumbled. "I'm not a boy."
"We know you aren't," Bruce said as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Don't worry, Paley," Zalo said. "We're gonna make everyone know that you're a girl."

Now for some words!
I've wanted to cover this topic for a while (especially because I love Adam on Degrassi and stuff). I've mostly wanted to cover this to teach people what it means to be transgendered. When I first heard about it a good 4 years back (because of the whole first-male-to-be-pregnant thing or whatever), it was explained (well, what I heard) as a boy who wakes up one morning and decides to be a girl or a girl who wakes up one morning and decides to be a boy.
I've learned last year that it's not that. (I've researched the topic as much as possible to get an understanding of it and also I question my own gender identity from time to time.)
As Zalo explained, what it means to be transgender is that you believe you've been born in the body of the wrong gender.
I originally wanted to do this with an online-only Webkinz (I forgot why), but with from some inspiration from Taylor (who has had an *actual* transkinz before me), I decided to do it with one of my unadopted Webkinz. I thought Paley would be a good choice, mostly because you guys are already well-aware that she is a girl (with her Christmas bracelets and all), and I thought this topic would be more understandable with a girly pet like Paley.
Please note that this subject isn't inappropriate; it's just never spoken of. There are plenty of kids out there who realize that they are transgender at a very young age and start to cross-dress (when someone dresses in the stereotypical clothes of the opposite gender, like how Gummy wears a dress). As you guys also know, I do my very best to "kid-down" certain topics to make picture stories about (like Shuffle's pregnancy and Mandy's orientation).
Basically, if you see someone in real-life who says they're a boy but you know they are in a girl's body, they are a boy. If someone says they are a girl but you know they are in a boy's body (Paley), then they are a girl. Accept them for who they are and what gender they know they are.
Also, if you are religious, please don't give me that usual stuff like "it's not natural" or "*insertyourgodhere* made them a boy/girl and wants them to be that way so they can't act/dress like the opposite gender." Well, I'm sorry to say this, but your god kinda made a mistake (or however the transpeeps like to see it), and it's normal/natural/not defying nature, etc...yeah.
And I'm telling you right now...
...if you dare try to tell me my Paley is a boy...
You have no soul.
Kay, bye. Hope you liked the story. :)
