Kaylynn rolled over and fell asleep.
"Come on, Paley! It will be fun!" Laraine encouraged.

Then Laraine fell asleep.

Paley let out an exasperated sigh as she slid down slowly onto her belly and fell asleep.
She knew it would be a horrible day.

Paley woke up in her bed.

She sighed and got out of bed. She was so not ready to face Kaylynn and Laraine.

After a minute, Kaylynn and Laraine caught up with her.
"Come on, Paley!" Kaylynn said.
"We know a great guy who can find you your perfect manly outfit!" Laraine said.
"But first, let's get those yucky girl clothes off you," Kaylynn said.

Paley held back mad tears as she was forced to take off her beloved outfit, just because it looked girly.

Then she trailed behind the other girls who led her into Jimmy and Gizmo's room.

Kaylynn and Laraine walked up to Jimmy's bed.
"Jimmy! Wake up!" Kaylynn said.
"Hello," Jimmy yawned.
"Can you help Paley find a cool guy outfit?" Laraine asked.
"I'd love to!" Jimmy exclaimed.

"You guys can just sit down," Jimmy said. "I'll take it from here."
Jimmy walked up to a wardrobe while Kaylynn and Laraine giggled and sat down.

Jimmy had Paley put on a red Jersey. "Do you like this?"
"No, I don't like red," Paley said quietly. Maybe if she denied all the outfits, they'd give up on her!
"That's okay," Jimmy said. "I have plenty of more outfits."

"What about these swimming trunks?" Jimmy asked.
"No!" Paley nearly shrieked. She felt so exposed it was disgusting!
"No problem!"

"Nah."

"Nah, not much of a sports fan."
Paley hated this. She wasn't a boy. Why was she being forced to be one? The more outfits Jimmy had her try on, the more she began to get sad and angry. She even started to hate herself. Why was this happening to her? What was wrong with her?
