...and We are Continuing!
Part 5

Mandy waited anxiously in Midnight Cloud's Cafe for Kurt the next morning. She couldn't wait for their little tea party.

Kurt walked in.
"Hi, Mandy!" he greeted. "What's up?"

"Hi, Kurt," Mandy greeted. "I want to talk to you."

Mandy guided him to a table and they both sat down.
"About what?" Kurt asked.
"I've been reading about you on Dance's thread," Mandy said. "We're a lot alike."
Kurt started to get nervous. His heart started beating faster. "What do you mean?"
"You act weird around around guys who like girls and you wear a rainbow collar for pride," Mandy pointed out. "You like guys, don't you?"
Kurt was starting to get fired up. "Why does that concern you?" he spat out.
"Because I like girls so I know what you're going through," Mandy explained calmly even though she couldn't believe she just said that.
"Blaine was right," Kurt said as he let the anxiety slide away from his body. "I'm not alone."
Mandy smiled. "Yeah."
"So is it really that obvious that I like guys?" Kurt asked.
"Well, because of our little 'sixth sense' we have so we're able to find the rest of us, the signs really stuck out at me," Mandy clarified. "Other people would just be oblivious.
Kurt sighed. "Phew, even thought I'm planning to come out to Dance and the rest of the family soon; I think it's the right time."
"Good for you!" Mandy encouraged. "I'll always be here if you need me."
"When are you planning to come out?" Kurt asked curiously.
"Not anytime soon - I'm not ready," Mandy answered.
"That's okay," Kurt replied. "You don't have to come out until you're ready."
"If I ever am," Mandy commented.
"Just keep strong and have courage," Kurt finally said.

----

After the little tea party ended Mandy walked back into her room. She was happy as a bee and majorly relieved, yet at the same time her heart was racing from nervousness. She had just taken a big step in her life and she was happy it was to someone who understood her completely. Now all she had to do was figure out what to do for the rest of her life.

----

Mandy was walking around the room later on that day. She felt light and normal.
"Mandy! Mandy!" Lacey called out as she and Lily chased her.

"Hello," Mandy said. She still had the lightness feeling yet at the same time her guard was up.

"We never meant to exclude you from our sleepover last night," Lacey assured her apologetically.
"We feel really bad," Lily added.
"It had nothing to do with you. You see, since Barbie's gone we have to find other ways to help Nicole. We used a sleepover last night to see if we could get her to open up more about her OCD," Lacey explained.
"We were luckily able to," Lily said. "We're really sorry. We can totally hang out whenever you want."

Mandy grinned. She was ecstatic that the only reason she was lonely last night is because someone else needed help. She could totally understand. "It's okay. Thank you so much for clarifying what happened last night. I'd love to hang out with you guys."
http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/o...kinzmas119.jpg

"Aww," Lacey said as she and Lily gave Mandy a friendly hugged.
Mandy was so happy that she was able to be hugged without someone else being afraid of her.
Then she realized something: nothing was wrong with her. It was ********** people who had something wrong with them and they had to be stopped.
But how? And when would Mandy be able to come out so she can help stop them?
Life is so confusing...

Okay, 2 things.

1. Don't go spoiling this on Dance's thread. Wait for her to post her side of the story. :)
2. I know you're all probably thinking that this is an inappropriate subject. Believe me, it's not. (Homophobia is inappropriate in my opinion.) This would be inappropriate if Mandy and Kurt were in relationships with other people, and they're not. This is just a story about them struggling to accept themselves for who they are. The point of this story was to teach people like Mandy and Kurt to accept themselves and also to show younger peeps (like a few of you guys) that being like Mandy and Kurt is okay before older people try to convince otherwise. We gotta help stop the hate. ^.^

Have a nice day, internet neighbors!
