I looked over at the window. There was a Strawberry Cloud Leopard beside Mandy.
“How many times is this going to happen?” I exhaled.
“Oh, Kat,” Mandy said as she rolled her eyes.

“Kat?” the Leopard repeated as she raised an eyebrow. “Like, Kat Wabbit?”
“Yup,” I said. “That’s me.”
The Leopard scanned the room. Then she paused and said, “Picture threader Kat?”
“Um, yes,” I said. “That would be me.”
“Okay, so um, how do I say this?” the Leopard said. “It’s me, Dance’s Giselle.”
My face dropped. “Seriously?”
“Yep,” Giselle confirmed. “I am Giselle of Dance’s house in Canada.”
“What are you doing in Connecticut?” I said cheerfully. I was quite happily surprised Giselle was here!

“I wanted to go home to Indiana for the 4th of July,” Giselle explained, letting her head wander a bit.

“Just like Shuffle ‘ere!” I pointed out. “He wants to head to Canada for Canada Day!”
“Bye!” Shuffle called out as his family left out the window.

Mandy was lingering behind, mostly to find out what the whole plan with Giselle was.
Giselle looked back up at me.
“Where’s Indiana?” she interrupted, bringing us back to the subject that she was here.
“Southwest of here,” I answered.

“Wow,” Giselle said, looking away, not sure what to do.
“Would you rather stay here for the 4th of July?” I offered. “It would save you traveling confusion and it’s quite American here.”

“Meh, close enough, so sure,” Giselle accepted with a half-smile.
“Excellent!” I exclaimed.

“I just gotta go find my boys and we can start thinking about what we could possibly do!” Shona interrupted.
“Although it’s more fun to just go with the flow on the 4th of July, you go ahead and plan!” I said.

“I’m gonna go tell Dance that you’re here, Giselle.”
“I’m gonna go with ya,” Giselle said.

“Fine by me,” I said, offering my arm so she could perch on it to the computer.

Shona smiled. Then she started walking around. “Cupid?” she called out. “Shane? Blazie?”

Cupid and Shane came up. They always hung out together to keep each other company while their parents focused all their attention to the baby of the family: Blaze. Well, they did pay attention to the boys, but not as much attention as Shicestorm did to Blaze.
“Hi, Mom,” Cupid greeted.
“Yo,” Shane added to the greeting.
