It's Mother's Day, and it seems that everyone has a mom of some sort except Amelia and that bothers her.

"Blaze!" Shona exclaimed happily.
Blaze purred his alien purr.
Shona loved it when he did that. She loved everything he did.

Although Blaze was kinda cool, he kinda freaked out Cupid and Shane.
Also, Shona was OBSESSING over Blaze. Back when she first adopted Cupid just a year before, he was the center of attention. Then she adopted Shane and he was the center of attention for a while, but then it evened out. Now, it was all just Blaze.

But they wouldn't complain now. It was Mother's Day.

Then Amelia went up to them.
"Mommy?" she asked in her baby voice. She was finally saying something other than "Hi, Moomoo!"

"Amelia, darling, you know you don't have a mommy," Shona said. "I'm just Blaze, Cupid, and Shane's mommy. You just have a daddy and the rest of the family."

Shuffle was just relaxing.

Amelia walked up to him.
"Mommy?" she asked.

Shuffle leaned down to her eye level.
"Amelia, darling, you know you don't have a mommy," he said. "Just daddy, Grandma Kat, and the rest of the family."

"Well, I'm basically your adopted son and I had Amelia," Shuffle explained. "Wow, four grandkids at this age. That's really strange, Kat," he teased.
"Ha ha ha," I said sarcastically. "Now help me with my mom's present."

"I still love it how your mom bought you Lily as a present two years ago on Mother's Day," Shuffle said.
"Yeah," I said.
