Laraine quickly scurried to the scene.
"Sophie," Laraine whispered, "I know that Paley was logged in as a boy, but she wants to be a girl."

"Yeah, now you know how I feel," Paley said rudely to Laraine. Paley was just having a bit trouble getting over how Laraine was treating her recently, even though Laraine's attitude of Paley being an MTF was changing.
