Cheryl squatted down to eye level with LemonPet.
"LemonPet!" she scolded. "You know better than pinching people when they don't want to be pinched!"
He just let out a puff.

As usual, Monroe was rolling around laughing strangely to himself as his Zhu Zhu pets scurried around him. He loved the vibrating sound that was made as the wheels rolled across the hardwood floor.

Mandy went up to him.
"Hello, Monroe," she greeted. She had just a slice of hope that Monroe could be a potential friend.

"Your mechanical hamsters are absolutely INCREDIBLE," Mandy complimented. "In fact, I heard how you can modify them to make them even more incredible! Would you like to hear more?"

Monroe pounced between Mandy and the scurrying pack of Zhu Zhus in a protective way.
"No touchy my Zhu Zhus," he replied.

She was starting to believe that for the rest of her Webkinz life she'd be a lonely mad scientist who no one would want to hear about...

Cheryl was lying with her back on the floor and LemonPet relaxing on her belly. She was in a ba-ad mood.

"So...did your lobster get recalled?" Squigglenoodle asked when he went up to them.

"Why does that matter to you?" Cheryl asked in a ticked-off voice. She didn't even look at him. She just started at the ceiling.

"You know if he did get recalled we have to return him," Squigglenoodle protested (that is the right, word, right?).

"I don't care," Cheryl stated, with the anger in her voice rising as she spoke and refusing to make eye contact with him.

"No one else is as understanding and as great as a friend as LemonPet is," she cried. "No one else gets me like he does. No one else is as loyal as he is and he's been this awesome since last year when I first got him."

"I mean, look at him!" she exclaimed with a stuffy voice holding back tears. She was holding him with her foot. "I've always wanted a lobster and could never get one. The one day Kat came home with him, and he's amazing!"
