Starring: Kat and Jenkinz

"Kat," Jenkinz said.
"Yes?" I replied.
"Well, this is my first summer, and I must ask, what is summer to you?" Jenkinz asked.
"A lot of things," I said.

"Those are berries," I said. "We get them every summer. My dogs like to eat them, but then they throw up."

"What about the Dog Days of Summer?" Jenkinz asked.
"I don't really know why it's like that. I guess they can play more," I said.

"Dogs also pant in the summer, because they get hot," Jenkinz said. "It's like their way of sweating."
"That's right," I said.
"Did you know that if you spray water on a dog in a misty way that they'll pant less?" Jenkinz asked.
"I think so," I said. "I bought that dog book you read."

"Oooh!" Jenkinz exclaimed. "Mushrooms!"
"Yep," I said. "Another part of summer."

"Also, in the summer I like to eat a lot of peanut butter toast," I said. "And we'll be alone a lot because my brothers have summer camp. We'll also stay up and sleep in."

"Yes, and I'll try to this year, even though people might say I'm too old," I said.

"Did it go good?" Jenkinz asked.
"Not really," I said.

"We'll discuss it later," I said.
