..and We Are Continuing.
Part 2

To make the pictures fadey-like...
First make sure you have the layer you want to fade selected.

Go to Adjustments --> Transparency. (Download that addon!)
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/068-1.jpg

Mess with the level. (It will stay the same the next time you pull it up so don't panic about making the next layer the same amount of fadey-ness.)

Then add a new layer for the next picture...and so on.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/070-1.jpg

This is my end result. Be sure to do your own thing!

You know on my background how I made the Labs blue? Well I'm going to add a little shade of purple, and this is how you do it.
Open up a new layer.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/072-1.jpg

There's like an arrow in the color box to open up the advanced part. Lower the Transparency part. (The thing my mouse is on.)
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/074-1.jpg

Click on the Fill-In tool. (Paint bucket.)
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/075-1.jpg

Click, and bam.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/076-1.jpg

Now to add pictures.
I'm going to take my own pictures.
Right click a picture, and click on Open With --> Paint.NET.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/077-1.jpg

Click on this tool.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/078-1.jpg

Go to Edit --> Select All.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/079-1.jpg

Go to Edit --> Copy.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/080-1.jpg

Go to File --> New and open up a new project. Then click on Edit --> Paste. This will be your copy of your pic that you will use for your banner. Close out the real copy.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/081-1.jpg

Now, click on the magnifying glass to Zoom In.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/082-1.jpg

Zoom in! Yaay!
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/083-1.jpg

Click on the Eraser tool.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/084-1.jpg

Make the eraser as big or small as you need it to be.
http://i393.photobucket.com/albums/p...kinz/085-1.jpg

Then I will erase a line around Cottonball and the laptop.
