"Kat, I miss Lacey and Shuffle," Madeline said. "I'm starting to get worried."
"Me too," I said.

Then she sat on the air conditioner and watched the rain pound on the air conditioner like a drum. It was really storming!

Then, through the other window, they crashed in!

"Guys! You're back!" I exclaimed. "And Lacey, where is your sweatshirt and my iPod?"

I woke up to Shuffle walking.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"Oh, just to the bathroom," Shuffle said.

I fell asleep and woke up a bit later to Lacey.

"KAT!" Lacey exclaimed. "Shuffle's GONE!"
